We’ve got award-winning camping, caravan and glamping sites throughout Allerdale, we’ve got secluded lodges in the woods at Aspatria, and we’ve got coastal cottages at Allonby where you can watch the sun set.
We’ve got big bustling holiday parks at the Silloth seaside complete with cabaret entertainment and enough activities to keep the kids quiet for a fortnight.
And don’t forget our traditional coaching inns where you can stroll up the stairs after some delicious pub grub, or our great B&Bs where the emphasis is often on the breakfast thanks to the glorious produce grown and made on our doorstep. You can find cosy guest houses in the towns, village or countryside, and simple chain hotels in some easy locations in and around Allerdale.
Or, if you’re looking for views without frills, we can even offer you a mountain-top bothy or two. You can camp out under the stars in tepees heated by log burners, you can find contemporary lodges on the edge of a private lake, you can even hire a motorhome here and tour the entire Lake District.

Allerdale is a great place to visit in your motorhome. We have wide open spaces, some of the finest parts of the Lake District, the hidden gem of the Solway Coast and Hadrian’s Wall World Heritage Site.
