Workington Leisure Centre

Opened in September 2016, Workington Leisure Centre is a fabulous new sports and leisure complex in the centre of the town. The centre has two pools – one for younger children or those who lack confidence in the water. There is also a state of the art gym, squash courts, climbing wall, sports hall which is used for a range of activities like gymnastics, as well outdoor 3G football pitches. 

There are often special activities for the elderly as well as kids during the school holidays.

Cockermouth Leisure Centre

With state of the art gym, superb 25m pool, sports hall, studio, climbing wall and spinning studio, providing endless opportunities for all your leisure needs. There are many activities on offer including our popular fitness class programme, badminton, gymnastics, football and much, much more with special activities for the kids during the school holidays.

Maryport Wave Centre

The new gym facility at the Wave features a great range of strength and cardiovascular fitness equipment. 

If climbing and caving is your thing then the Wave Centre in Maryport is the place to go. 

Challenge yourself, and challenge your friends at the North of England’s first Clip ‘n Climb. A stunning series of climbing based activities that provide healthy, challenging fun for everyone. Perfect for ages 4 to 84, children can visit and climb unaccompanied with us from age 11+.

The fantastic new Cave at The Wave is the latest thrilling challenge at The Wave Centre Maryport. Our superb indoor caving system features over 75m of exploring, discovering, squeezing, clambering, climbing and crawling. 

You will discover tight squeezes, ball pools, passages, fossils, stalagmites and stalactites and much more along the way as you explore with the aid of just our instructors and your head torch! Suitable for ages four and upwards and for up to eight cavers at a time the only limit to our caving system is your bravery and physical size
