The Comedians

Your MC is Dave Twentyman.

“Brilliant”, John Bishop. Dave is upbeat, cheery, down to earth, friendly, warm, quick on his feet…just some words that have been used to describe one of the most naturally funny comics on the UK comedy circuit today. He’s an affable, quick-witted comedian who somehow survived a childhood in St Helens by evolving rapid, startlingly-bright patter and a smile that he somehow stole from Barry Manilow. With jokes and tales that you can’t help but relate to, he endears himself to even the rowdiest of audiences with ease and quite rightly is in hot demand at the biggest comedy clubs in the UK and overseas.

Andy White.

“Oozes talent” What’s On Magazine.  Andy escaped from a call centre to become a stand up comic who mixes silly voices and faces with observational humour, topical humour and his mixed race background. He can do material that’s clever, cheeky, sick or just silly and his performance can shift from deadpan to loud and physical. Andy has played to a wide variety of audiences, adults and children, both at home and abroad, in comedy clubs, theatres, universities, radio and TV shows, and at corporate entertainment events. He regularly headlines up and down the UK and has worked with all the major chains and comedy promoters along the way. Overseas, he’s performed in Monte Carlo (Laughing Horse), Berlin (Bleu Montag), Abu Dhabi and Dubai (Laughter House) amongst others.

Chris Washington.

“Funny, relatable and heartwarming”, Broadway Baby. Rising star Chris Washington is taking the comedy industry and audiences alike by storm. With bags of Northern charm, he had  a hugely successful debut run at the 2017 Edinburgh Fringe Festival, during which he received a sparkling nomination for the coveted Edinburgh Comedy Award for Best Newcomer with his solo stand-up hour Dream Big (Within Reason). Since becoming Re:Play Breakthrough Comedian of the Year Winner and a finalist in the Magners New Comedy Act in 2015, Chris has proved he’s a definite one to watch, being likened to a Peter Kay for the smartphone generation. A favourite on the live circuit he has already supported Jason Manford and Tom Stade on tour. Chris also released two online sketches for BBC Three’s Quickies series, both earning over 1 million views and becoming two of their most successful of the series. His most recent Edinburgh show Chris Washington:Raconteur 2019 was received to great critical acclaim and rave reviews.

Andy Askins.

“Totally hilarious” Ross Noble. Andy Askins is a diminutive figure who exudes an air of vulnerability as he steps up to the microphone armed with a guitar and a cheeky grin. It’s an overwhelmingly misleading demeanour which serves to heighten the impact of the killer lines that he delivers. Andy has an expertly crafted routine littered with an eclectic mix of offbeat original comic songs and parodies. A talented musician with a captivating voice, popular songs have been re-written and given a perverse twist to tremendous comic effect. With a wickedly dry sense of humour, Andy’s darker material is sweetened by his innocent and impish demeanour which never fails to leave audiences in the palm of his hand. With impeccable timing, the inventive and quirky songs are peppered with inspired patter – the material is as strong as the songs and delivered in an inimitable modest and self-deprecating style. Since becoming a full time comedian back in 2005, Andy has built a reputation as a distinctive and original talent, and is now a highly sought-after headliner at all the major UK comedy clubs – as well as being a favourite amongst his peers.
