Workington’s long history is proudly on show in Curwen Park. Look out for the picturesque ruin of Workington Hall. It’s a fine place to wile away some time on a sunny day. Leaving the park leads you to the Helena Thompson Museum, a fine looking Georgian, Grade II listed house. Its interesting collection consists of costume, textiles, antiques and curios.
